Wellington, FL (April 24, 2013) – The Adequan Global Dressage Festival concluded with two final competitions on April 4-7th, the Wellington CDI5* presented by Diamante Farms, and on April 11-14th, the Wellington Nations Cup CDIO/CDI3* presented by Stillpoint Farm. During the season, the fashionable ShowChic equestrian boutique sponsored each AGDF competition with a champagne brunch and a Best Turnout Award for the finest dress during the CDI Jogs.

Winner Megan Glynn says, “I respect the sport and it makes me feel good to dress up for the jog, I am representing my country so I chose to wear the Canadian uniform.” Glynn won the ShowChic Best Turnout Award at the Wellington CDI5* on April 4, 2013 with her Swedish Warmblood partner, Tyto, before their first ever CDI at Prix St. Georges and Intermediate 1 level, coached by Canadian Olympian Jacqueline Brooks. Glynn wore traditional beige trousers and a fitted blazer. Her class extended into the ring as she wore a unique Shadbelly coat custom designed by ShowChic boutique.

“The best part of the jog this season has been the ShowChic brunch and recognition of equestrian fashion. It’s a great way to start each show- to bring the competitors together with good food and to promote our elegant equestrian fashion,” says spectator and rider, Miriam Offermanns.

The Wellington Nations Cup CDIO/CDI3* winners, the Matute Family of Spain, represented their national flag colors, yellow and red, to win the ShowChic Best Turnout Award. In honor of their country, Juan and Juan Jr. Matute wore yellow ties with Espana printed on the label and coordinated navy jackets. Maria and Paula Matute wore red jackets and yellow scarves with fitted white pants. Ready to go and ready to fight for Spain, the family rode in the Nations Cup as a team for Spain. Olympian and father, Juan Matute, was especially excited to share this moment with his family as he almost decided to retire from competition after his Olympic success. The Wellington Nations Cup is the only non-championship Nations Cup in the Western Hemisphere and is the first to have teams created by combinations of not only Grand Prix but also Prix St. Georges horses.
