Dubai, UAE – 8 November 2016: Under the Patronage of Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club is to host its first international-standard dressage competition with an impressive lineup of judges including British Judge David Hunt. Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group said, “We are delighted host our first international-standard dressage competition at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club. This is the first of many. The Riding School boast exceptional facilities and sets a new benchmark for Dubai and the region.”
The dressage competition, at the newly-opened Riding School at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, is EEF affiliated. Neil Abrahams, Head of Racing, Dressage and Events in the EEF, will be stewarding the competition, which takes place on Wednesday 16th of November 2016 at 5pm.
Dianne Breeze, international British rider and FEI World Dressage Challenge winner, said, “It is wonderful to see another venue for international dressage competitors. Dubai is now on the world map as an equestrian destination.”
Mohammed Al Habtoor, who is an avid polo player, has helped bring international-standard polo competitions to Dubai, which have elevated the city to a world-class polo destination.
“Horses have been a big part of my life for many years, playing polo is one of my biggest passions,” Mohammed Al Habtoor said, “But the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club is not just about polo. It is an equestrian haven, which incorporates multiple disciplines including polo, dressage and show jumping and traditional horseback riding.”
The Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club Includes 164 luxury villas surrounding four polo fields, two arenas for dressage and show jumping, and 520 state of the art stables.
