Whatever your age or interest, the Liverpool International Horse Show promises to be a tremendous spectacle and party to remember. Now in it’s fourth year, the show takes place from December 28 – 31st at the Echo Arena, Liverpool. Not only is it a serious highlight for the International Sporting Calendar attracting the best riders in the world, the show has become an essential date for the social calendar.
If you are looking for a unique way to spend New Year’s Eve with family and friends, whilst enjoying a fabulous party atmosphere, the final performance of the Liverpool International Horse Show will be a truly memorable one.
The Evening Performance kicks off at 7pm with the €75,000 Liverpool International Grand Prix, showcasing some of the best horses and riders on the world stage. The fences will be set at a staggering 1.60m high and riders will also be competing for Longines FEI World Ranking points. A good result here could move them up the world ranking.
The reigning Liverpool International Grand Prix champion is Irishman Billy Twomey and he returns to defend his title again. Twomey has won the prestigious class in both 2016 and 2017 with his seasoned campaigner Diaghilev.
At the heart of the extensive shopping village, our Champagne Bar is located next to the Warm-Up Arena. The arena is sponsored by Equitop Myopast and allows you to get up-close-and-personal to the shows leading horses and riders. So make sure you are “Insta-ready” to capture the action.
As well as horse sport, we also bring you motor sport at Liverpool. Arenacross UK Freestyle Motocross crew are guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat, performing gravity defying stunts against a backdrop of pyro. Also among the arena displays, we bring you the Shetland Pony Grand National, which never fails to be a crowd favourite among all ages.
Gilles Fortier and his dramatic team of stunt riders and horses will be delivering a world premiere of his new ‘Phoenix’ act, showcasing an emotive collection of equestrian art, acrobatics and fire performers.
There’s more equestrian action with the ‘Battle of the sexes’ Knockout, involving riders racing against each other over two sets of mirror image fences. We reckon this will be the fastest and most furious show jumping you will see all year.
Finally, we will be joined by World renowned party rock specialist Rick Parfitt Jr. Rick and his band will be ramping up the atmosphere as we get closer to midnight, then counting down to a spectacular show with indoor fireworks and lots of surprises as the clock strikes midnight.
All evening tickets purchased for Monday, December 31st INCLUDE access to the Shopping Village (with over 80 equestrian and lifestyle outlets) and onsite restaurants from 9am, and non-allocated seating is available during the day to watch the action from the Amateur and Pony Show jumping Finals. Tickets also give access to the Champagne Bar in Hall two.

This year’s Liverpool International Horse Show takes place from December 28 to 31, held at The Echo Arena on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.
With an overall audience of 30,000 people, the show is set to thrill and enthrall with both afternoon and evening performances that will have its audience sitting on the edge of their seats.
Founded in 2014 by Show President Nina Barbour the event is now in its fourth year and is promised to be better than ever with world class show jumping and spell-binding dressage. Top class riders will be travelling from all over the world to compete at Liverpool International.

The Liverpool International Horse Show is the place to be to celebrate the end of 2018 and welcome in the New Year. The event will also be the finale to Liverpool 2018, which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Liverpool’s triumphant tenure as European Capital of Culture in 2008.
