Lexington, VA (June 5, 2012) – The Horse of Course, Inc, one of the nation’s premier tack shops specializing in dressage tack, clothing and supplies, is pleased to announce they are a sponsor of the upcoming Dressage at Lexington show. “We have always supported Dressage at Lexington, it is a great show,” said Beth Haist, CEO of The Horse of Course. “Lexington is the perfect place to be in July. It’s up in the mountains and easy to get to from the East Coast. We love being part of this show.”

The Horse of Course is thrilled to be sponsoring the Sporting Horse Amateur Challenge at Dressage At Lexington. “We will sponsor all seven divisions of the Sporting Horse Challenge. Each first place winner will receive a Horse of Course cooler and a saddle pad, and all of the second through eighth place winners will receive a saddle pad.”

In addition to sponsoring the Sporting Horse Amateur Challenge, Horse of Course’s mobile shop will be on the grounds, featuring their extensive selection of breeches, show clothes, custom shadbellies and a complete selection of dressage tack including the most advanced dressage saddle on the market, The Sommer Flextra Eq and the Sommer Spezial. “Lars Petersen, Jim Kofford and Shelly Francis are just a few riders who have fallen in love with and ride in the Sommer saddles,” Haist said. The patented flex tree of the Sommer saddles offers more comfort for the horses back and allows for substantially more freedom of the hind quarters and the shoulder, while the advanced seat design sets the rider deep in the saddle naturally tilting the pelvis and engaging the core. The refined panels and monoflap design allow the rider to feel all nuisances in the horse’s movement and time their aids more effectively.

“Our mobile set up is a wonderful attraction on the show grounds. If a rider loses a button on their coat or needs their stock tie tied, they should come and visit us,” Haist said. “We have a lot of new and exciting merchandise to show off during Dressage at Lexington including our fabulous new line of Kentucky breeches. They are really slick and fabulous. We also have a new line of washable shadbellies, which are really wonderful.” The Horse of Course offers the ultimate collection of apparel to keep every rider fashionably dressed, including these well-known lines: Gersemi, Laurel Burch, Pikeur, Ariat, Kentucky, Goode Rider, Red Barn, Vespucci, Ovation, Intec, Kerrits, Romfh, Pure Lime, USG and Windsor. “We also carry the HV-Polo line which has been a big hit with our riders. The line offers stylish fun polo shirts, jackets and breeches with crested embroidery, microfiber cottons in the latest fashion colors from Germany. A highlight of this line is the matching coordinates for your horse including blankets, coolers and saddle pads.”

The Horse of Course is a strong supporter of the equestrian community and travels across the country with their mobile store, attending horse shows and sponsoring classes. “Dressage riders from around the world rely on our products, clothing and saddles and we really do feel like we are partners in their show careers,” Haist said.
