Tommie and his horses have performed in front of millions of people and have fans around the world. He and his team strive to inspire, educate and demonstrate all that is possible with horses making them perfect for this year’s “Focus on Education” theme at the PA National Horse Show. His teaching methods are uniquely customized to the attendee so no two clinics are the same. Turvey’s arena performances range from comic theater to the extreme with his amazing horses, Poker Joe and the Roman Riding Team, Joker & Ace. THE PENNSYLVANIA NATIONAL HORSE SHOW

Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, Harrisburg, PA

With over 1,400 qualified horses competing for $420,000 in prize money, the show features Hunter and Jumper competition and is the site of the Pessoa/USEF National Hunter Seat Medal Finals, the Randolph College/USEF National Junior Jumper Championships and the $85,000 Grand Prix de Penn National.

The Pennsylvania National Horse show is one of the largest indoor horse shows in the U.S., hosting horses and competitors from across the country with 20,000 spectators attending from the Mid-Atlantic region. The Pennsylvania National Horse Show Foundation has donated over $1.4 million to equine-related charities since its inception in 1945.

An evening of friendly competition among recognized Hunt members featuring the North American Fox Hunting Horn Blowing Championship, a Parade of Hounds and the popular Jack Russell Terrier Races.

Root for riders as they strategize in Gambler’s Choice: the Open Jumper Speed class where each jump carries a point value based on degree of difficulty; highest score and fastest time wins! Then, cheer on your favorite cowboys & cowgirls as they use speed and skill to beat the clock!

$40,000 PA Big Jump

Thursday, October 18

Presented by Wilmington Trust, a division of M&T Bank, the PA Big Jump is a test of strength, agility and courage for both horse and rider which will be followed by TOMMIE TURVEY’s first appearance at the show.

Family Night

Friday, October 19

Enjoy a variety of special activities geared for family fun including the Stick Horse Derby sponsored by Fluff Monkey. Children from 6 to 12 will be judged by TOMMIE TURVEY on creativity and imagination as they parade their very own Stick Horses at the Show! Pre-registration required; free admission to the show for participating child. TOMMIE TURVEY will again be performing in the main arena after the jumping class.

Grand Prix Night

Saturday, October 20

Thrill to the competition as Olympic-caliber riders compete in the $85,000 Grand Prix de Penn National, followed by the opportunity to get riders autographs and walk the grand prix course.
