Marne Elizabeth Martin and Royal Coeur Win Custom Saddlery MVR Award

Wellington, FL (November 21, 2012) – Marne Elizabeth Martin-Tucker turned her first show back in the U.S. after a European sojourn a winning one as she won the Custom Saddlery Most Valuable Rider award at the Gold Coast Dressage Association Fall Fling Nov. 10-11, 2012 at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida.Marne Elizabeth Martin and Royal Coeur

Martin won the award on her 7-year-old Oldenburg mare Royal Coeur by taking the top place in Third Level Test 3 with a score of 68.46%. Her prizes included Dressage Sport Boots and a Custom Saddlery visor.

“She is a superstar, and she acts accordingly,” said Martin of Wellington about her 16.2h chestnut mare from the German

Rubenstein/Rembrant dam line. “She is really attentive to my aids and gave me a nice performance.”

Cary Wallace of Custom Saddlery congratulated Martin on her success and for winning the MVR title: “Marne put in an excellent ride, and we are proud to support her and the dressage community by sponsoring the MVR award through the 2012 Florida dressage circuit.”

Custom Saddlery is also hosting the Custom Saddlery Young Ambassador program, where riders between the ages of 13-25 can apply to win a custom-fit dressage saddle. The contest runs through July 2013. Entries will be reviewed and narrowed down the three, with the winner then selected by a panel of Custom Saddlery riders: U.S. Olympian Steffen Peters, Caroline Roffman and Endel Ots.
