Sophia Robinson Wins Everglades Dressage Junior Young Rider Achievement Award

Wellington, FL (April 16, 2013) – Everglades Dressage was proud to present the Junior/Young Rider Achievement Award to Sophia Robinson for her amazing performance on her re-trained dressage pony, Valor, during the West Palm Beach CDI 5*, held as part of the 2013 Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida. Robinson rode Valor, a 15-year-old Australian Riding Pony, in Training Level Test 1 and 2, and the team scored over 68% in one of the classes. Robinson explained that Valor is a former hunter/jumper pony who had a bad experience and has therefore been re-trained as a dressage pony, where he now shines in the ring. “I just love him,” she said about her fancy little horse.

Robinson trains with Gwen Poulin of Poulin Dressage. Poulin was very pleased with her student’s success and described her ride as clean, accurate and forward. This was Robinson’s second show during the Global Dressage Festival, and she is looking forward to continuing to take Valor up the levels of dressage. She won a beautiful saddle pad from Everglades Farm as a part of the Young Rider Achievement Award.
