Itapira, Brazil (July 12, 2013) – For one spellbinding afternoon in August, Interagro Lusitanos in Brazil will offer the chance to bring home a living embodiment of centuries of selective Lusitano breeding during what is expected to be a standing-room-only event for admirers of this classic athlete. The Annual Interagro Collection National Auction will take place on August 31, 2013, and will offer some of Interagro’s top sporthorse and driving prospects to a select group of buyers.
But while the horses are surely the auction stars, the entertainment and hospitality are of as high a quality as its horses. The evening’s dinner and auction are a semi-formal event, pulsing with the exotic glamor of a Brazilian carnivale that transforms the Interagro Lusitanos arena into a magical hacienda, replete with bubbling fountains and bathed in the amber glow of iron chandeliers hung above catered tables draped in white linen and festooned with fresh floral arrangements. During dinner, Brazilian Samba dancers weave among the audience to an intoxicating drumbeat that only heightens the excitement of awaiting for the first proud horses to present themselves before the gavel.
