World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award Presented to Jacqueline Brooks and D Niro During Global Dressage Festival 5* CDI

Wellington, FL (April 8, 2013) – Canadian Olympian, Jacqueline Brooks, and her horse, D Niro (aka “The Goose”), are on their way to the World Cup in Sweden where they will be decked out in a brand new Vespucci bridle courtesy of World Equestrian Brands. Brooks and D Niro were the winners of the World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award at the Global Dressage Festival CDI 5* in Wellington. Brooks and D Niro made quite a gorgeous spectacle in their last warm up before the World Cup by being turned out to perfection, and she is excited for D Niro to look even better in the new bridle. “I’ll be switching into this new Vespucci snaffle bridle right away,” she commented after winning the WEB Tack Matters Award, “He’ll be jogging in Sweden in this bridle for sure!”

Brooks knows a thing or two about why tack matters in dressage. After two Olympics and many other Grand Prix level wins, she has figured out the winning formula for well-turned out success. “The whole sport is about being elegant and looking good,” she said about dressage. “It’s the same as figure skating or ballet – the dance is more beautiful if everything is coordinated and looks very professional.” Brooks went on to explain that she thinks it makes a difference to the horses as well. “He’s a happy boy,” she said about her horse after the ride. D Niro is a Swedish Warmblood (D Day x Alitalia) and he and Brooks have been turning in win after win for the past two years. “I think he does such a great job for me every day, that he deserves to look like that,” she continued. “When people come to watch him warm up, he deserves to look his best.”
