Exciting Essex Horse Trials Features Local Family Fun

Peter Chesson Memorial Classic Car Show to Be Held Saturday

Looking for an exciting way to spend the holiday weekend without the expense of faraway travel? The Essex Horse Trials is the answer. Set to take place July 1-2, the two-day sportfest offers the excitement of eventing along with fun family entertainment in the local setting of North Jersey.

Friday features Dressage and Show Jumping at Hamilton Farm, home of the USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, NJ and Saturday showcases the exhilarating cross-country phase at historic Moorland Farm in Far Hills. In addition to eventing, families can enjoy the Peter Chesson Memorial Classic Car Show on Saturday at Moorland Farm as well as the Mars Candy Hunt and fun demonstrations at both locations.

“The Essex Horse Trials are a fantastic start to the holiday weekend. Families can enjoy two days of fun and sport right in their own backyard,” said Co-organizer Ralph Jones. “The $10,000 Preliminary Division highlights the event along with divisions for Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training competitors.”
