Elite Equestrian editor L.A. Sokolowski was recognized by The Chapters Network Community Support Services with a Lifetime Achievement Award for “true wisdom, sincere passion, and unwavering determination that has created a legacy of unifying people” at its 10th anniversary gala in October in Oceanside, NY.
For much of that decade, L.A. has shared stories of horses and their humans with co-host Steve Vaccaro, creator of The Chapters Rap Network radio and digital show. Also recognized that evening were professional heavyweight boxer, ‘Gentleman Gerry’ Cooney; New York Yankee Dwight ‘Doc’ Gooden; music director Robby Robinson (Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons); Rock and Roll HOF guitarist Ricky Byrd; Latin Billboard Music award winner Tito Puente, Jr.; nuclear cardiologist Dr. Pilar Stevens-Haynes; and Cayuga Centers foster care executive VP, Jessica Oliveira Haddad.
