CHUKKERS FOR CHARITY ANNOUNCES MEDICAL HOUSE CALLS AS PRESENTING SPONSOR

Polo Match Set for Saturday, September 9 at Riverview Farm

Nina Lindley and Falon Veit Scott Set to Co-Chair

 FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Chukkers for Charity announced Medical House Calls will be the presenting sponsor of the polo match that returns on Saturday, Sept. 9 for the 27th annual sporting event held in Franklin, Tenn. benefiting Rochelle Center and Saddle Up! Nina Lindley and Falon Veit Scott are co-chairs serving with community volunteers and supporters of the fundraiser.

In making the announcement, Medical House Calls owner and entrepreneur Chuck McDowell said, “Medical House Calls, which provides primary health care services to patients in the comfort and safety of their own homes throughout Middle Tennessee, is proud to align with two exceptional non-profit organizations that present Tennessee’s largest polo match while raising much needed funds.” Wesley, a Franklin-based company headed by McDowell recently purchased Medical House Calls which is slated to expand services in Middle Tennessee.

The programs supported through the generosity of Medical House Calls, other sponsors and patrons have lifelong impact on the hundreds of children and young adults with disabilities who participate in equine assisted therapy and education here. The community support is phenomenal, and we always appreciate the opportunity to share our vision of a farm ‘where all children are equal in the saddle’.”

The signature event returns with the theme “Passport to Paradise” where guests will enjoy a tropical setting overlooking the polo field. Other activities include a silent auction, stick horse race for the kids and a tailgate decorating contest.

This year’s co-chairs are Nina Lindley and Falon Veit Scott, who are avid volunteers for the event and non-profit organizations. This is Lindley’s sixth year to chair the event and Falon Veit Scott’s second time to chair the event having served in 2009. Under Lindley’s leadership, last year generated more funds than ever in the 26-year history of the event which now totals $2.6 million raised since 1996. Chukkers for Charity is Tennessee’s largest and highest grossing charity polo match.

Saddle Up!’s mission is to provide children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through therapeutic, educational and recreational activities with horses. Saddle Up! will serve over 220 children and young adults this year, providing 5,000 hours of programming in 8 year-round programs.
