A video recording of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is now available to watch on the Show Jumping Hall of Fame website at: Induction Ceremony! Hosted on March 6, the induction ceremony honored four 2020 and 2021 inductees including Olympic riders Beezie Madden and Margie Engle, renowned media executive and fundraiser Mason Phelps, Jr., and McLain Ward’s two-time gold medal Olympic mount, Sapphire.

Held at Wanderers Club in Wellington, FL, the induction dinner featured some of the sport’s all-time legends, including ten others in attendance who were previously inducted into the Hall of Fame: Olympic medalists Norman Dello Joio, Leslie Howard, Anne Kursinski, Michael Matz, and Melanie Smith Taylor as well as David Distler, Peter Doubleday, Karen Golding, Steve Stephens and former Olympic rider and current U.S. Chef D’Equipe Robert Ridland. Others in attendance included Olympic veterans McLain Ward, Lauren Hough, Laura Kraut and Nick Skelton and Grand Prix riders Lillie Keenan, Heather Caristo-Williams, Olivia Chowdry, Dominic Gibbs and Katherine Strauss.

“This year’s Induction ceremony in Wellington was one of the greatest nights I’ve experienced in my more than 50 years in show jumping,” said Peter Doubleday, Chairman of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Board of Directors. “Having so many stars of our sport in attendance was very exciting and I think everyone was touched by the speakers; from McLain’s talk about Sapphire to Beezie’s incredibly moving acceptance speech, it truly was a night to remember. I am so glad that it is now available on the Show Jumping Hall of Fame website for everyone to enjoy!”
