Martin, sporting a peach shirt with contrasting turquoise collar and cuffs, slim white slacks accented at the waist by a multicolor street sign-themed belt, and blond hair pinned in a casual but crisp pony tail, was presenting her Nations Cup mount, Rosa Cha W, when the pair caught the attention of Kelly Molinari of Equiline, partnering sponsor of the ShowChic Turnout Award.

“We encourage our riders to come out and look their best. We chose Silva because she looked phenomenal, we loved her bright use of color to complement her bay horse. On an otherwise dreary day,” Molinari said, “she brightened the jog by being so well turned out and so well coordinated.”

Looking in sync with her horse comes easy for Martin: “She’s my friend. I’ve known her all my life and she tries her hardest for me. I love that. She loves to compete.” She describes the 16.3 hand, eight year-old mare (Redardez Moi x Jasmine W) as a homebred – when she and husband Boyd Martin called Australia home. “Yes, she came along when we moved to Pennsylvania six years ago.”
