About The Artist- JoAnne Helfert-Sullam Born in Brooklyn New York JoAnne Helfert-Sullam
Is a professional artist who specializes in animal and landscape art, an advocate for conservation, author and producer who writes, lectures and films, wild and domestic animals. As a child growing up in the city, Ms. Sullam loved and understood the importance of connecting with nature but could only learn about wildlife and nature through books and television As an adult Ms. Sullam combined this love of nature with her love of art using her work as an instrument for conservation. Ms. Sullam has donated her artwork and time to land and wildlife protection and has fostered and placed feral cats and unwanted dogs.
While exhibiting her fine art that focused on nature, Ms. Sullam, is also a license wildlife rehabilitator’s and works as an animal handler /consultant and has worked with academy award winning actress Melissa Leo, Jim Fowler of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, working on the Today Show and the Martha Stewart Living show alongside animal expert, and longtime friend, Marc Morrone.
Ms. Sullam ‘s paintings and sculptures exhibit in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers though out the country.
A Celebrated Wildlife and Landscape Artist JoAnne Sullam Award winning work has been featured in New York Times, who’s who in America, Art business news, “The Best of Sporting Art” in Polo Players magazine and on the on the cover of Chronicle of the Horse.
Special Congressional Recognition for Work in the Arts by former Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. And is the author of a children’s book and has interviewed personalities such as Richard Gere, Bobby Kennedy Jr. and concert pianist/animal activist, Helene Grimaud.
The owner of Daydreams Studio and the founder of Wild Mother Ms. Sullam is currently working on a new book about the human/animal connection.
Evolution of a Wild Heart is based on “lessons learned from nature” from her life and others.

JEANNE CHISHOLM: POLO IN AMERICA
The 1986-1987 exhibit POLO IN AMERICA, A Retrospective Exhibition of Polo in
the United States, Organized and Sponsored by Cartier, Inc., in Palm Beach,
brought together an unprecedented collection of historically important polo
art and memorabilia. This exhibit was considered to be of such international
importance that it was re-created for one month as a “polo museum” on the
second floor of Cartier’s historic Fifth Avenue building in June 1987.
