Wellington, FL (January 29, 2013) – Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of equestrian equipment, footing and arenas, presented the Premier Sportsmanship Award to 15-year-old Abbey MacLellan during the 2013 Gold Coast Dressage Association Opener Festival CDI. Riding in their first FEI Pony Test, MacLellan and her French Canadian Pony, Encore, earned a 61.375%, and had a great time showing at this new level. “We want to get some solid scores under us and just keep getting better!” she said about her goals for the season in Florida. MacLellan and her trainer, Cindy Matheson of Tea Hill Stables, are from Prince Edward Island, Canada, and so far they are enjoying the show season in Wellington. “It’s great! It’s hot!” MacLellan described. She was awarded a beautiful tri-color ribbon and a gift certificate to Premier Equestrian for demonstrating this positive attitude throughout the show and winning the Sportsmanship Award.
