Alexa Elle Lignelli Wins March’s Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month Award Sponsored by Charles Ancona
Alexa Elle Lignelli of New York, NY, has won the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month Award Sponsored by Charles Ancona for March.
Lignelli competes in the Junior Division of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series’ East Conference Presented by ROOD & RIDDLE. She had a busy month of March competing with multiple horses in the equitation and jumper divisions at Wellington International (WEF). She consistently finished in the ribbons with her High Junior Jumper mounts, Billy Kiara, Egalini, and Fayuri AWR. She rode all three to Top 10 finishes in Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classics, including during WEF 10 when she finished first on Fayuri AWR, who also took home that week’s High Junior Jumper Championship, plus seventh on Billy Kiara and eighth on Egalini. One week later at WEF 11, Lignelli’s second-place honors with Egalini helped her secure the Hall of Fame’s Rider of the Month Award.
The Show Jumping Hall of Fame conducts the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series with classes at approximately 80 horse shows each year. The Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur riders in two Conferences – the East Conference presented by Rood & Riddle and the West Conference presented by LAURACEA. The Series culminates in a West Conference Championship Final at Blenheim EquiSports’ International Jumping Festival in San Juan Capistrano, California and the overall Series Final at the Washington International Horse Show in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The riders who top the year-long Series standings receive an engraved Tiffany crystal trophy and the winners of the Series’ two Finals receive one of LAURACEA’s best-selling Convertible Backpack Totes.
