CDI Jiva Hill Stables… kick off !
The splendid site of Jiva Hill Stables, nestled in the heart of the Haut Jura Park, is entirely devoted to the discipline of dressage for four days, on the occasion of the fifth edition of the International Competition.
On the menu of this opening day, two events reserved for riders of the CDI 3* label. The first one (Intermediate A) was won by the British rider Anna Louise Ross with her 10 year old KWPN mare, Habouche (Ampere) who obtained the beautiful average of 70.059%. Also on the podium the French rider Annabel Delsert, riding her 13 year old bay gelding Jackpot P (67.706%) as well as the Italian rider Carolina Carnevali riding Drew Doughty, an 11 year old Hannoveraner stallion (66.794%). The Prix Saint Georges, with seventeen pairs, was won by the Swiss rider Marie Blockx, who managed to win over the judges with 71.824% with her eight-year-old black Hanoverian gelding. She was followed by Germany’s Evelyn Eger, who scored an average of 70.912% with her nine-year-old Hanoverian bay gelding, Darjeeling 14. French rider Matthieu Menelot came third with a 69.382 average score on his nine-year-old bay mare Dashka de Wendeling.
The amateur riders were competing in their Prix Saint Georges. The rider from the United Arab Emirates, Natalie Tania Joanna Lankester, who rode two horses, won with her nine-year-old gelding, Furst Dance DXB (67.059%), and clinched second place as well with Echo DXB judged at 63.236%.
Tomorrow, Friday 26th, the day will be dedicated exclusively to the CDI 3*. The program includes the Intermediate B test at 2:30 pm, followed by the highlight of the day, the CDI 3* Grand Prix at 4:00 pm, from which only the fifteen best will be selected for the Freestyle Grand Prix, or free test to music (Saturday 27 at 1:15 pm). The day will end with the Intermediate 1 Freestyle competition. First couple in the arena at 7:30 pm.
On Saturday 27th, the riders of the CDI 4* label will be in the arena to compete in their Grand Prix Cuénod Construction SA at 14:45, while the CDI 3* couples selected for the Grand Prix Freestyle La Tuiliere will have to do their best in order to convince the judges from 17:30 onwards.
