Chapot Sweeps Wednesday Features at 2022 Lake Placid Horse Shows

Claims Wins in 1.40m and 1.35m Classes

Laura Chapot swept both of Wednesday’s featured classes at the 2022 Lake Placid Horse Shows, Sponsored by Bainbridge Farms, LLC, and Presented by Sea Shore Stables, LLC. One of the premier stops on the nation’s hunter-jumper horse show circuit, the Lake Placid Horse Shows run June 28-July 10, offering a full schedule of world-class competition with more than $600,000 in prize money.

Wednesday’s action in the Richard M. Feldman Grand Prix Field saw Chapot ride Gideon to the win in the $2,000 Adirondack Life 1.35m Jumper Class and Calafornia to the win in the $5,000 High Peaks Resort 1.40m Jumper Class. Chapot was one of nine entries to ride clean over the 1.35m first-round course designed by Nick Granat, and she claimed the win with another clean round in the jump-off in 36.105 seconds. Placing second was Alex Matz who had a jump-off time of 39.113 seconds on VDL Nikita Van De Leeuwerk.
