The agenda covered topics as diverse as record keeping to customer service to equine massage. Hands on training and workshops, along with group saddle fittings and evaluations with several industry leaders were also an important part of the learning. Equine veterinarian, Dr. Jennifer Stoffer, presented The Science of Saddle Fitting and discussed the phsyical and biological implications of proper saddle fit. Likewise, equine massage therapist, Robyn Drake, spoke about ways that experts are integrating massage into their work, and the many benefits that accompany it. Tracings and trees are other topics that were covered and discussed by industry leaders Tonya Jones and Fred Taht. The event also provided Custom Saddlery the opportunity to reveal some of their new ‘sports model’ saddles and gave participants an insider’s look at their exciting new features, leathers, and colors, along with the new stirrup leathers and girths that are currently in new product development.

Staying true to their dedication to the industry and their ability to customize and best fit the rider, Custom Saddlery was pleased to provide this meeting and continuing education opportunity for its fitters. Cary Wallace, President and Master Saddle Fitter at Custom, says they pride themselves on making it easy for top level equestrians to ride their best, and saddle fitters are a very important part of that process.
