Goldstein explains that she is excited to be contributing to the growing equestrian sport industry in Israel, which is something she has wanted to do since she celebrated her Bat Mitzvah there when she was 12 years old. During the clinic, Goldstein will share how she grew from being a horse-crazy kid to a professional international rider. She will also cover what it means to take care of a horse before, during and after riding, and what level of ground work must be reached before moving into jumping. Goldstein will also give a riding demonstration, and explain many of her accomplishments in equestrian sports.

For Goldstein, this level of innovation, determination and passion have been a driving force throughout her entire life, and she has contributed much of her visionary talent to developing innovative projects that support and grow the equestrian industry in the US. Now, she feels honored to be in a position to bring her experience and expertise to the young people in Israel.

In addition to creating and managing Starwyn Farms in Wellington, Goldstein also developed the groundbreaking International Equestrian Education series, on which the INTRA clinic is based. The International Equestrian Education program was offered for the first time this year when she worked in conjunction with the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival to launch this exciting 5 week long course. She explains how the International Equestrian Education program is designed to provide valuable knowledge, understanding and insight for young riders and adult amateur equestrians, as well as many others involved at all levels of the equine industry. Participants had the opportunity to learn from top professionals in the industry covering a vast amount of material and topics such as the basics of horsemanship, stable management, grooming, tacking, and schooling area safety and etiquette. Also, general topics such as FEI standards, jumper course design, veterinary and hoofcare basics, legal contracts and business essentials were covered. Goldstein also offered scholarships to high school students to enroll in the program as a way to engage young people with a passion for horses.

Goldstein describes that the equestrian industry in Israel is growing quickly, and so the need to educate and encourage the younger generation is important. As soon as she recognized the opportunity to support the industry in Israel, she quickly set to work and spent over a year, and a lot of time on paperwork, to get her Israeli citizenship. “I think people were shocked a little bit,” Goldstein said about her determination to make a difference, “there’s not that many people who choose to actually get Israeli citizenship and then represent Israel in riding.”

Goldstein said she is excited to be going to Israel and then on to Europe to compete, and she is already determined to put together the first Israeli Nations Cup Team this year.
