Danish Olympian Lars Peterson to Head Nutrition and Performance Discussion at December ShowChic Shop Talk
Wellington, FL (December 12, 2012) – Danish Olympic dressage rider Lars Petersen will bring his knowledge of high level dressage competition and the impact of nutrition on performance during the Dec. 18 ShowChic Shop Talk, held at 6:30 p.m. at ShowChic in Wellington.
Joining Peterson will be Allan Vensel, a veterinary nutritional therapist, and Rebekka Gadeburg, owner of VetCur, Inc. They will discuss the relationship between equine nutrition and performance; absorption of feed; plus the most common problems that can be influenced by proper feeding, including ulcers and joint issues. Peterson will also talk about the results with nutrition that he has seen on his own horses and horses that have been trained by him.
Gadeberg has an MSc in genetics and population ecology and has also studied pharmaceuticals. Venzel conducts 100 nutritional seminars yearly. In addition to a successful international career, Petersen was named Denmark’s leading rider five times. He currently lives and trains in Florida.
ShowChic hosts monthly Shop Talks, sponsored by the Gold Coast Dressage Association, which feature equine experts sharing their knowledge with the dressage community. The nutrition talk will be a bonus for December, with a program by world famous dressage trainer Walter Zettl and natural horsemanship experts Linda and Pat Parelli that took place on Dec. 4, 2012.
