“We’ve done big shows back north but this is our first time at WEF,” she said, referring to the Coolidge-sired Mecklenburger she has been riding since March of 2013. “It’s been going well. We both keep a good sense of humor!”

Also receiving a Knock Your Socks Off Award and prize basket that included Draper Therapies socks and saddle pad for their WEF ‘wow factor’ were Declan McPharlan of northern Ireland, showing Heather Caristo’s 2012 Hampton Clasic Young Horse champion, Chabalouba Sun.

McParland and the mare Ramea Z had a string of clear rounds during the Holiday circuit, and plans to continue his success with Chabalouba Sun in the 8-year-old divisions during WEF.

The Knock Your Socks Off Award recognizes exceptional performances, rides or efforts that spark special attention at a show. Each award winner gets a new pair of Draper Therapy socks, made with Celliant®.

The world’s most technologically advanced fiber (with a proprietary blend of minerals extruded into polyester fiber) Celliant helps alleviate pain and encourages the vasodilation of blood vessels, to increase the amount of oxygenated blood reaching poorly circulating areas. Increased blood flow and tissue oxygen levels support muscles and joints in combating the stiffness, soreness and edema caused by aging, injury or arthritis.

The FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) is the world’s largest and longest running equestrian competition. The 12-week event, which runs from January 9 through March 31, awards over $6 million dollars in prize money and hosts 5,000 horses and 2,800 riders from 50 states and 31 countries at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Draper Therapies’ innovative products also include scientifically-proven therapeutic horse blankets, boots, wraps and saddle pads, dog beds, mats and clothing. Studies – done independently by three separate doctors – have shown Celliant increases tissue oxygen levels which have been shown to increase performance, relieve pain and improve muscle recovery.
