Jordan Coyle and Ariso Rise to the Top of the $40,000 Go Rentals FEI CSI3* Winning Round During HITS Hudson Valley IV

On the penultimate day of international show jumping competition during HITS Hudson Valley IV on Friday, July 18, 2025, riders returned to the Douglas Elliman Grand Prix Stadium to contest the $40,000 Go Rentals FEI CSI3* Winning Round. The weekly FEI CSI3* division is a highlight of the action-packed three-week HITS Hudson Valley Jumping Tour®, which also features a World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) week. After two thrilling rounds, it was Ireland’s Jordan Coyle and his longtime partner Ariso that jumped to the top of the leaderboard.

Mark McGowan (GBR) set the track for 17 horse-and-rider duos. His test proved challenging, as only four pairs managed to jump fault-free, while two others finished on two time faults. Based on the winning round format, the top 12 finishers in the first round were invited back for a deciding round two. Riders returned with a clean slate in reverse order based on their first-round performance.

Second in the round-two order after having picked up eight faults across the opening course, Swiss Olympic medalist Beat Mändli and Qoachella returned to set the standard with the first clear effort in 43.82 seconds. His time did not hold up for long, however. Wednesday’s $31,020 FEI CSI3* Jumper Classic winner Gabriel Matos Machado (BRA) followed with Lezaro and brought the time to beat down to 39.97 seconds. A couple rounds later, Coyle blazed through the timers in 36.89 seconds, leaving the rest of the field to chase his time.

Toward the end of the class, Stella Wasserman (USA) came close to catching the Irishman, but when the clock showed 37.27 seconds, she would have to settle for second place with Myjorka, her own 10-year-old Hanoverian mare (Mylord Carthago HN x Quidam’s Rubin). Last to go, Egyptian Olympian Nayel Nassar gave it a shot with Dorado de Riverland, a 12-year-old Selle Français gelding (Untouchable M x Argentinus) owned by Evergate Stables LLC, but he could not quite catch the time, finishing in a tie for third in 39.19 seconds. Young talent Mia Bagnato (USA) shared the third-place honors with Nassar after she piloted Florida N, her own 12-year-old Holsteiner mare (Clarimo ASK x Lavall II), to the same time of 39.19 seconds. That left Coyle with the lion’s share of the prize money and the blue ribbon.
