Kelly Jones and Rachael Barnes Win Draper Therapies® Best Foot Forward Awards
Wellington, FL (March 29, 2013) – Draper Therapies®, a leading company providing holistic therapy products for animals and humans, was excited to present 17 year old, Rachael Barnes of Buffalo, New York, and 22 year old Kelly Jones of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania with the Best Foot Forward Award. This award recognizes outstanding riders who demonstrate positive attitudes during the shows, and both Jones and Barnes were seen throughout the show, before during and after their rides, with smiles always on their faces.
Barnes, who was previously named Champion Children’s Jumper earlier this season, showed the horse Mac Miller in the equitation class. “All the people I’m surrounded with are really great people and fun to be around,” she explained about the reason behind her smiles. Barnes trains with Nikko Ritter who also shares his student’s positive attitude, “I just try to stay happy,” he said, “and if you can’t be happy here, where can you be?!” Barnes added that she is excited to try out the new Draper Therapy saddle pad she won on Mac Miller and her other mount, Camona, during the rest of the season.
Also winning a Draper Saddle pad was Kelly Jones, who showed in the low adult hunters riding Bonafide, aka “Bonnie,” owned by Richard Schechter. “When you do this for so long, you just have to learn to appreciate everything about it,” she explained about showing horses which she has done since she was 5. “You have to go out and try and do the best you can, and that’s what you have to be happy with,” she added, “and I just love what I do!” Jones is looking forward to experiencing the therapeutic benefits of the Draper saddle pad as well.
