Kent Farrington’s String of Wins Continues as he Tops the $125,000 National Horse Show Grand Prix 238.2.2
141st National Horse Show
$31,020 CSI3* 1.45M International Speed
Kent Farrington aboard Robinson Ridge LLC’s, 8 year old, Selle Francias mare, Grass De Mars (Windows VH Costersveld x Toxine De Mars) proved to be unbeatable in Friday night’s $31,020 CSI3* 1.45M International Speed Class. The duo raced against the clock over alan Wade’s 14-obstacle course finishing with a leading time of 62.47 to secure their top finish out of twenty-one horse-and-rider pairs.
“Grass De Mars is an 8 year old horse that I own with Katie Jacobs and I’m super excited about my partnership with her. It’s great to have our first international win at the National Horse Show. I’ve been partnered with this horse since Florida and we’ve done a couple 2* Grand Prix’s and she came in second at a National Grand Prix so she is coming along nicely.”
Horseflight $10,000 Junior/Amatue 1.40m Jumper
Campbell Brown rode MMK Equestrian LLC’s, 12 year old, Selle Francias gelding, Caiam D’ivraie (Dollar Dela Pierre x Jaliska De Tanues) to a top finish in the $10,000 JR/AM Jumper 1.40 II.1 with a time of 60.43.
“The plan was to start with a fast canter and then keep it all the way around. I was hoping to do the six in the line which I was able to do nicely. He’s been my partner for a long time so I trust him to do the leave outs. I went in and stuck to my plan which ended up working out because I had a great round that led me to my first win here at the National Horse Show. I have been coming here for a couple years now so it was pretty special to get to come and win on a horse that I love so much.”
