London International Horse Show Announces Final LeMieux Masterclass in 2025 Series, Pippa’s Pony Club Rally Led by Pippa Funnell MBE
London International Horse Show is delighted to announce an exciting new LeMieux Masterclass, featuring Members of The Pony Club, taking centre stage at this year’s Show.
On Sunday 21 December, three-time Olympian and equestrian legend Pippa Funnell MBE will host Pippa’s Pony Club Rally, a session starring four hand-picked Members of The Pony Club as nominated by their Branch or Centre.
In this unique showcase, Funnell will guide audiences and her four fantastic pupils through a programme designed to “better the basics” by helping to improve self-discipline, offering her unparalleled expertise to maximise partnerships’ potential. Both participants and audience will benefit from Pippa Funnell’s calm, methodical approach to training, as well as her advocacy for horse welfare and positive horsemanship.
Pippa Funnell has enjoyed a distinguished career. In 2003, she became the first rider in history to win the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing after consecutive wins at Kentucky, Badminton, and Burghley. Funnell is also a three-time Olympic medallist, with team silver medals at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, where she also won individual bronze. Beyond her competitive achievements, she is recognised as a mentor for the next generation of riders and is admired for her dedication to the sport.
Speaking ahead of the event, Pippa Funnell MBE said: “The Pony Club is where I – like many riders – began my career as a horsewoman, and I am so excited to be able to bring these stars of the future to London. With this LeMieux Masterclass, I’m looking to inspire partnership, trust, and confidence at every level. I am thrilled to be part of this at London International Horse Show, and I hope it will inspire both riders and spectators to embrace the challenges and rewards of the sport.”
Pony Club Branches and Centres have been invited to nominate deserving Members to take part in this amazing opportunity. The nominations close on 27 October with the final four participants selection being announced on Friday 21 November.
LeMieux Masterclass: Pippa’s Pony Club Rally with Pippa Funnell MBE, takes place in the New Horizon Plastics London Arena on Sunday 21 December, and promises to be an unmissable highlight of London International Horse Show.

London International Horse Show
The first International Horse Show took place in the Olympia halls in 1907. Hosting jumping and showing classes, the Show was patronised by royalty, high society and international guests. In its present format, the London International Horse Show was revitalised by Raymond Brooks-Ward in 1972, taking place in December where it has run annually for more than 50 years. As host of the only FEI World Cup™ Jumping, Dressage and Driving qualifiers in the UK, the Show attracts the world’s best sportsmen and women and mixes each performance with entertainment, including breathtaking international equestrian displays, the Shetland Pony Grand National, The Kennel Club Dog Agility and a renowned masterclass series. A move to Excel London in 2021 paved the way for the launch of the Show’s second ring in 2023, the New Horizon Plastics London Arena, which hosts the prestigious Showing Championships. Expected to welcome over 80,000 visitors, the 2025 edition of the Show will take place from 18–22 December.
