London International Horse Show adds Showing With The Stars to the LeMieux Masterclass Line-Up
The organisers of the London International Horse Show are delighted to announce that Nigel Hollings and the Jinks Show Team will be taking centre stage in the London Arena on the afternoon of Saturday 16th December for a very special Masterclass, Showing With The Stars.
Led by British Show Horse Association Chairman Nigel Hollings, accompanied by the multiple-championship winning Jinks Show Team’s Adam Forster, Showing With The Stars will give the audience a judges-eye view of what makes a winner. Working with a selection of the Jinks Show Team’s horses, ponies and young riders, the Masterclass will cover all aspects of Showing – with top tips for the audience to go home and put into practice.
The Masterclass will begin with a presentation, as Nigel and Adam explain how different types of horses and ponies should be turned out, and how to emphasise each horse’s best assets. As well as covering presentation on the day, the audience will get an insight into how the Jinks Team condition and prepare their ponies at home, as well as a rundown of what they look for in their future stars.
Moving on, Jinks’ talented riders will execute their most polished performance in front of Nigel, who will give the audience an insight into where marks are lost and gained in individual shows and an explanation on what top judges look for in the ring. He will cover off how to score maximum marks and stand out in a line-up – plus, the essentials of ringcraft, common mistakes, and how to avoid them. The audience will have the opportunity to try their hand at some live judging and see how they compare to the pros!
To round off the session, Nigel will host a Q&A from the arena on all things Showing, giving the audience the chance to ask any questions, and get a little one-to-one advice from Nigel himself.
