National Book Award Winner Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse
We are pleased to announce that the first book in our Morgan Horse series, Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse has been selected as a winner of the “Children’s Choices” award. This prestigious award is administered by The Children’s Book Council, Inc. and co-sponsored by the International Reading Association. 
Nominated books were sent to five review sites located in different regions of the United States. Approximately 12,000 children then visited the sites, read the books and voted on their favorites. The award was officially announced in the October issue of the International Reading Association’s publication, The Reading Teacher. We are very proud that Blackjack was chosen as one of the top books.
Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse (ISBN: 978-0-9709002-8-9) was also selected by Breyer Animal Creations to be sold with a model of the star of the series, the black Morgan stallion Blackjack.
