Old Salem Farm to Host Two New FEI Shows as Part of September Schedule
September Horse Shows to Feature CSI4*/2* and CSI3* Events
Responding to a growing number of requests for more FEI competitions, Old Salem Farm is gearing up to host two new FEI events as part of its annual September Horse Shows. Old Salem will host a CSI4*/2* on September 10-15 and a CSI3* on September 17-22. Old Salem’s September schedule will also include a USEF Regional/Level 1 weekend (September 7-8) and a National/Level 2 event (September 25-27).
Old Salem’s annual Spring Horse Shows are highly regarded as two of the nation’s premier events. The two FEI competitions attract many of the nation’s best horses and riders including Olympic veterans from the U.S. and other countries. This year, Old Salem added a new Summer Jumper Classic CSI2* (August 21-24), enhancing its FEI schedule that now also includes the new CSI4*/2* and CSI3* events in September.
“For the last few years, we have received many requests from exhibitors to host FEI shows in September,” said Scott Hakim, owner and president of Old Salem Farm. “We are thrilled to be able to accommodate these requests, and our new FEI shows will feature world-class competition on par with the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows in May. We believe the September horse shows will quickly become another premier stop on the competition circuit and a staple on everyone’s calendar.”
The first week of the September horse shows, September 10-15, will feature Thursday’s $10,000 4* Two-Phase and $5,000 2* Two-Phase, Friday’s $65,000 4* Welcome Stake and $32,000 2* Qualifier, Saturday’s $38,700 4* Speed Stake and $40,000 2* Grand Prix, and the new $200,000 4* Blue Diamond Cup on Sunday.
The excitement continues September 17-22 with FEI 3* highlights including Thursday’s $10,000 Two-Phase, Friday’s $65,000 Welcome Stake, Saturday’s $38,700 Great Oak Speed Stake and Sunday’s $125,000 Grand Prix.
