World Champion Yasmin Ingham and Olympians from Four Countries Set to Compete

World Champion Yasmin Ingham and Olympic veterans from four countries head an impressive list of entries for the 2023 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ (LRK3DE) which returns to the Kentucky Horse Park, April 27-30.

Joining Ingham in the starting field are some of the sport’s biggest names including Olympic veterans from Canada, Germany, Great Britain, and the U.S., plus Ingham’s fellow British riders Tom McEwen and Zara Tindall, who will be competing just one week before attending her uncle’s coronation as King of England.

Organized by Equestrian Events Inc. (EEI), LRK3DE features one of only seven annual Five Star three-day events in the world. Known as “The Best Weekend All Year,” the event annually attracts more than 80,000 spectators who also enjoy extensive shopping, a variety of hospitality experiences and a wide array of demonstrations. In addition to its traditional CCI5*-L, the event also features the Cosequin® Lexington CCI4*-S and $225,000 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Ingham earned Individual Gold at last year’s Eventing World Championships in Pratoni, Italy, riding Banzai Du Loir, the same mount she rode in Kentucky in 2022 and has entered for this year. She took the eventing world by storm last year, finishing second at Kentucky in what was only her second 5* competition before going on to win the World Championship.

The line-up also includes several of Ingham’s British teammates: Leslie Law, a two-time Olympian with three Olympic medals including Individual Gold in 2004; Tom McEwen, who earned Team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo; and Zara Tindall, who earned Team Silver at both the 2012 Olympics and 2006 World Championships when she also won Individual Gold. Tindall placed third the last time she was in Kentucky in 2017.
