ROYAL WINDSOR HORSE SHOW 2022 SET TO FEATURE A DIVERSE RANGE OF SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT

Royal Windsor Horse Show, held in the private grounds of Windsor Castle from 12-15 May, is set to feature an array of entertainment and activities, both sporting and non-sporting, for its 79th edition. The prestigious four-day event will host top-level international equestrian sport, luxury shopping, enthralling equestrian displays and a vast variety of options for drinking and eating.

The highlight for many will be the CSI5* Show Jumping, which will culminate on Sunday 15 May with the Rolex Grand Prix; last year was won by Great Britain’s Ben Maher and Explosion W before they went on to win their individual gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The international 5* competition, the highest level of the sport, is sure to attract the world’s best horse and rider combinations. In addition to the Rolex Grand Prix, top-class Show Jumping will take place across all four days of the Show, to the delight of fans, including the CSI5* King’s Cup, the CSI5* Pearl Stakes and the ever-popular Puissance.

In addition to Show Jumping, elite Driving, Endurance and Showing will also come to the fore across the course of the Show.  The Land Rover International Driving Grand Prix is one of the most prominent Driving events in the UK and is also a FEI World Cup™ qualifier. There are three stages to the competition, the Driven Dressage on Friday, the Marathon Stage on Saturday and concluding with the Cone Driving on Sunday.

Friday will see the return of the International Endurance 3*, 2*, 1* and YJ1* competitions, which will all take place through the stunning grounds of Great Windsor Park.

Royal Windsor Horse Show is infamous in the Showing calendar and signals the start of the Showing season. Hosting 135 Showing classes, including some new introductions, the 2022 edition of the Show will welcome some of the biggest names in the sport, as Britain’s top competitors congregate with a shared goal of being crowned champion.

Visitors will be thrilled to discover tRoyal Windsor Horse Show #eliteequestrianhat the Shetland Pony Grand National will once again take centre stage in the Castle Arena. The adrenaline filled race is always a fan favourite and will take place each day alongside the Pony Club Mounted Games and performances from The Musical Ride of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.

Royal Windsor Horse Show will once again feature its celebrated Shopping Village. With ease of the shopper in mind, the organisers have separated the Village into four areas: Horse & Rider, Country Lifestyle & Living, Jewellery & Fashion Quarter and Royal Warrant Holders Association Pavilion. With more than 175 shopping stands, the Show’s Shopping Village will cater for all tastes, with brands such as Latham & Taylor, Le Mieux and Hermès all on show. With a vast array of fabulous food and beverage options that cater for all wants and needs, and so much to do and see, guests will not be short of entertainment throughout their visit.
