Sahar Daniel Hirosh Utilizes Patience and Compassion to Develop Young Horses to the Highest Level
Wellington, FL (April 29, 2013) – Sahar Daniel Hirosh, an International Grand Prix rider and competitor, has a track record of developing young horses from their beginnings under saddle to the Grand Prix. His technique, which focuses on the physical as well as mental well being of each horse, has proven very successful during the 2013 Florida winter circuit. With three consecutive wins on Dr. Roberta Weiss’s Weinline, Hirosh is demonstrated the importance of developing a young horse slowly and not allowing the horse’s athletic talent and ability overshadow its mental preparedness.
Hirosh and Weinline scored in the 70’s at the Dressage National Shows 3 & 4, and completed the season at the Nations Cup National Show. Hirosh took his time to gain the confidence and trust of this horse, a five-year-old Oldenburg mare (x Hotline out of St.Pr./El. Wienlady II x Don Gregory/Figaro) owned by Dr. Roberta Weiss of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. “I am very happy with the results I had this season with Weinline,” said Hirosh. “My goal was to give her confidence, as well as build her strength and stamina. With all the horses I train, my aim is to develop them physically while at the same time ensuring that they are confident in their abilities. This makes them confident in me, and in return I am able to develop them to their maximum potential.”
Hirosh has a passion for young horses and is currently bringing along a young Oldenburg stallion named Classy Sinclair. Owned by Dr. Phillip and Lisa Grossi of Bozeman, Montana, Classy Sinclair has competed very successfully as a three-, four-, and five-year-old. The young stallion caught the eye of several international judges at both Dressage at Devon and the New England Dressage Association Fall Festival, who commented that he shows great potential for the upper level international ring. Hirosh said, “In the last five months, we started working on lateral movements and some changes. He’s right on it. He is having a blast with the lateral movements. He loves to dance. Classy Sinclair is a very talented young horse with an incredible work ethic, and desire to please. I am very excited for what the future holds with him.”
Hirosh operates SDH Dressage out of Ringoes, New Jersey, where the welfare of the horse comes first and foremost. Hirosh specializes in the training of horses and riders of all levels. In addition, he is a top competitor on the international level and aspires to ride for a future Israeli Dressage Team. “It’s not about only working with the physical body, but also working with the soul of the horse,” he said, summing up his philosophy. During the 2013 Winter Equestrian Festival, Hirosh has been working out of Everglades Dressage, which is owned by his friend and fellow trainer, Bethany Peslar.
