Second win for Warszawski
The best rider of the TRAF Eventing Tour class, for the prize of the National Support Centre for Agriculture, was Paweł Warszawski riding Fuerta. Jakub Wiraszka remains the leader before the Final. T
The second-to-last TRAF Eventing Tour competition of the season was truly interesting. After the ranking leader Jakub Wiraszka lost his chance to advance into the second round, the other riders stood before an opportunity to score a full set of points. The rivalry was fierce and balanced. A phenomenal ride by Paweł Warszawski aboard Fuerta showed the other competitors a smooth and really fast round. He stopped the clock at 39,16. The last to go was Julia Gillmaier with Ding Dong. After what seemed like an even faster round, she ultimately lacked 0,05 of a second to secure the win. Third place went to Joanna Pawlak with Fantastic Frieda.
“I saw Asia Pawlak’s ride on Frieda and I already thought the competition is over. We know how fast Frieda is, and Asia has full confidence in her. However, I knew that I will try to do everything as I am here, after all I have nothing to lose. The second round today was very fast, there were basically no shortcuts to take, and it all had to be ridden very dynamically and smoothly. Fuerta is quite a small and agile horse. We ended up winning, so I’m all the more happy. The plan for tomorrow? I just want to ride the first round as well as possible and it would be nice if I could get into the second one. We know that one accidental mistake can put us out of the race for a good placing. I hope tomorrow we will also have a nice, fast class and hopefully with me in the final,” said Pawel Warszawski.
There has been a reshuffling of the rankings ahead of Friday’s TRAF Eventing Tour final. Today’s winner with two wins to his credit has moved up to fourth place. Jakub Wiraszka remains in the lead, with Julia Gillmaier moving up to second place. Third currently belongs to Daria Kobiernik.
