Tavo’s New Pet Protection System and its way more than just a 3-in-1 PET TRAVEL!
When we first felt the need to have a safe travel crate for our older dog Izzy, we looked at just about everything on the market that would be safe as well as comfortable. TAVO was at the top of the list so we gave it a go.
Izzy a 32-pound mixed pug/schnauzer rescue now at 12 years old she needed not only safety but comfort for our road trips and her back legs aren’t great so the stroller and carrier were the perfect solution for us.
Last fall, trying to travel with her was difficult Tavo has been a life saver. Besides the aches that come with shouldering her around in a regular carrier bag for hours, we also realized that having her sit plainly in the car, especially on the freeways, was super unsafe. So, when I saw that Tavo, a new pet brand from the makers of the coveted Nuna strollers and car seats, released a full pet protection system that has all of the top safety features and sleek styling, I had to give it a go.
The 3-in-1 PET TRAVEL SYSTEM Maeve™ + Roscoe™ the seat can be attached either to the vehicle base to serve as a protective car seat or seat to the Roscoe stroller for on the go! It also has two different fabric options that can easily be changed out to line the bottom mattress—one that matches the canopy and another cozy sherpa option—along with an attached leash to keep your pet secure if you’re using the stroller with the canopy open. But if you do want to give your pet a little shade, the canopy is also equipped with UPF50 protection and breathable mesh panels. There’s an attachable side impact protection guard that’s included with the seat, too, to provide extra safety in the car.
My Experience with the Maeve Seat and Vehicle Base
As a dog mom, I was a little uncomfortable on the installation so I reached out to their customer service department and they walked me right through it easy. Thankfully, Tavo provided step-by-step instructions that could be accessed via QR code, or reach out to them directly like I did. The base itself is designed with indicators that turn from red to green when the pieces are in the right place, which makes it easy to know it is secured or ready to release.
Another one of the fabulous things about the Roscoe stroller was just how lightweight it is—I can easily lift it up by just the handle. Not to mention, it folds up to a compact size that makes storing it in the back of my bronco easy. Once it’s out, it unfolds so easy and you can lock the wheels in place while you simply set the seat in place until you hear a click that means it’s secure.
While there’s no denying Tavo Pet Protection System is pricey, considering its extremely impressive safety features, along with the functionality of each of the pieces included in the 3-in-1 system, plus the overall aesthetics and thoughtful add-ins to the design, I’d say it’s definitely worth the splurge for pet parents who want to make sure their dogs and cats are safe wherever they go.
To be honest, I’ve never thought too much about my dog’s safety in a vehicle. My dogs have always ridden in the seat or on a bed. Not smart for many reasons, a quick stop, a fast turn or another vehicle coming out of nowhere your pup can go flying.

Now let me get into the BIG Game changer when we decided to add 2 small breed pups to our family in May. Tooie “The Dude”, and Louie “The Little Dude” brother from another mother. These 5.6-pound pups come in as a handful for my husband, myself and our old Izzy girl (12 years old). We aren’t the kind of folks that are into the crate training system we use other ways for training young pups that have seemed to work for us. Besides we like them with us and in bed with us too once they are trained. So, our system of “training” them wasn’t going so well this time. They would cry out and keep us awake at night. So, what I tried was putting the Maeve™ iso + Roscoe™ stroller 3 in 1 right by my bedside and presto babies went to sleep in a safe environment and level with the bed not on the floor, but not in the bed either and of course contained for the night. Game changer I bet Tavo never thought of this before! Restful nights with new babies. Come morning I took them out to potty and play time right in the stroller!
Taking the new babies to the vet’s office was also a breeze with this system and kept them very safe just unsnapped the carrier from the base and carried them both into the vet’s office safe and secure away from the other pets again keeping them safe and sound. This system has truly been a game changer for our pet family.
