Vita Flex Victory Team Rider Todd Minikus Wins 3 in a Row at Live Oak International CSI2* and Takes Home Leading Riding Bonus
Ocala, FL (April 5, 2013) – Vita Flex Victory Team member Todd Minikus was unstoppable during the Live Oak International Horse Show in Ocala, Florida on March 20-24, 2013. Minikus rode the Oldenburg mare Quality Girl (Quidam’s Rubin x Dobrock) to the win in the $50,000 CSI2* Grand Prix show jumping and also took top honors in the two preceding competitions the $5,000 1.30m Waldron Wealth Management Power & Speed class and the $10,000 E2 Show Jumpers Welcome Stake on Friday. “It’s not my first day at the rodeo!” said Minikus.
Todd Minikus of Wellington, FL rode Quality Girl, owned Chris Brems of Belgium, against tough competition in the CSI2*. Minikus explained, “Being second in the order and with Rodrigo and Brianne behind you, you can approach it two ways: you can try to shut the door right from the beginning, or go clear conservatively and hope they make mistakes. Quality Girl won the speed yesterday, so I decided to go for it.” For his wins at Live Oak, Minikus was also presented with the $10,000 Leading Rider bonus, presented by G&C Farm.
