Palms Polo Club and MDK Polo was created by Mauricio Devrient Kidd, a polo professional and world renowned polo instructor for the purpose of making polo instruction and play available to every person at any level of skill. Mauricio Devrient Kidd, a native of Argentina, has played around the world and with the likes of, the King of Malaysia, Prince Charles and The Sultan of Brunei. His many years of experience and passion for the sport is the driving force behind his intension to share his knowledge of this exclusive game to all those who share the enthusiasm and wish to experience the thrill.

Mauricio Devrient Kidd, a five goal polo playing professional, began playing polo under the close instruction of his father Daniel Devrient, also a polo professional.
From a very young age, Mauricio traveled with his father to Columbia, Malaysia, England and back through his homeland Argentina learning and achieving to become a successful polo professional himself.
Following in his fathers footsteps, Mauricio went on to enjoy a successful career and played for the King of Malaysia before moving onto Switzerland, where he played for eight years. Then it was off to England to play in Cowdroy Park with the likes of Princes Charles and Bombay Saphire.
After six years in England, traveling and playing in various points of interest around the world, he reloctaed to the United States before settling into his current six month residence of Wellingon, Florida where he still plays as a professional and has the reputation of a world class polo instructor.
One of the many highlights of Mauricio’s career was winning on field one in Palermo early on and receiving a trophy from Queen Elizabeth at the Westchester Cup in England for having the best playing pony.
Throughout his career, Mauricio has shared both his knowledge and skill with both beginners as well as professionals who seek his advise on a regular basis on how to either straighten out their swing or improve their riding skills.
Being the manager of Meadowbrook Polo Club for four years, America’s oldest polo club in Long Island New York, became the transition of his career from just “a high goal player” to polo instructor and consultant to players of all skill levels as well.
With an ever expanding client base, and by popular demand, Devrient has widened his reach and teaches both in Wellington, Florida during polo season, Southampton, NY where the season continues for the summer months and back to Argentina for the months of November and December where the high goal season ends at the Palermo Open.

Our polo professionals keep the ball in rapid motion while our member players pass and score making this the most exciting polo for any level of skill.
Be prepared to “stomp” the divots during half time while the champagne flows and don’t think of leaving before the asado starts and the music begins!
Our full size outdoor polo field and hospitality tents are surrounded by beautiful trees, making this a very private country setting and perfect for casual tail gating, field side sponsor tents or VIP sponsor and member events.
