Wise and Nobel Epitomize World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award
Gold Coast Dressage Duo Win Vespucci Snaffle Bridle
Wellington, FL (November 20, 2012) – Connie Duff Wise and Nobel won the World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award at the 2012 Gold Coast Dressage Association Fall Fling, November 10-11at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida. The Gainesville, Florida rider and her 16.2-hand chestnut Dutch Warmblood gelding (by Indoctro) were presented with a beautiful Vespucci snaffle bridle in recognition of their stylish turnout.
Wise rode in a rich, dark brown jacket accented with light brown pinstripes, completed by a matching brown Charles Owen helmet. “I have a pumpkin-colored horse, so I thought it would look nice to have some brown touches here and there,” said Wise. “I’m very grateful to World Equestrian Brands for taking notice of the effort we put in, and for sponsoring the award. I know I will put the Vespucci snaffle to good use!” Nobel performed their Fourth Level test in a lovely gold brow band and matching gold-accented saddle pad.
“It was my first time riding a test at Fourth Level. Nobel is such a sweet boy. He did really well,” Wise joked. “I had fun but I need to work on knowing my test better!” Wise credited her trainer, Eline Eckroth, with helping her achieve her dressage goals. Eckroth, a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist, is a Dutch certified riding instructor who studied in Holland with Anky Van Grunsven, Edward Gal, and Ulla Salzgeber before coming to the United States in 2004.
The Tack Matters Award winner added that she could not wait to continue on a “fashionable path,” especially with a new Vespucci bridle in her tack trunk: “I am super excited to match my attire to my new bridle for the next show. That will certainly help to remind me that ‘Tack Matters!’”
