2024 Desert Circuit Schedule Now Available

The last piece of the puzzle is here and the season schedule is now complete and ready for competitors to begin planning their trips.

We are so excited for the upcoming season at Desert International Horse Park (DIHP), and we’re arguably more excited to share what all is in store with our competitors and supporters. With a record of 10 weeks of competition, Desert Circuit is back and the schedule is here.

Desert Circuit will host nine weeks of Premier hunter, six weeks of FEI show jumping, two weeks of WCHR, and more special classes than ever before. Continue reading for everything to come this Desert Circuit!

The desert is everyone’s favorite place to call home for the winter, and now you’ll have 10 consecutive weeks to choose from, with something special happening every single week. We have everyone’s favorite classes returning, plus new additions. We will also have the grass field come into action several weeks of Circuit. See the grass field schedule here.

Desert Circuit highlights include:

  • Six weeks of FEI action (Weeks 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 & 10)
  • An improved robust national jumping program with 1.35m, 1.45m, 1.40m, and National Grand Prix classes each week
  • USHJA National Hunter Derbies every week
  • 2′-2’3″ and 2’6″-2’9″ Child/Adult Hunt & Go Derbies during Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10
  • Three USHJA International Hunter Derbies: one in Main Hunter (Week 2), one on the grass field (Week 5) and one in the Grand Prix Arena (Week 9)
  • USHJA Pony Hunter Derby on the grass during Week 5
  • Hunters in the Grand Prix Arena during Week 6! This week includes returning favorites, the $10,000 DIHP Under Saddle Championship and the $25,000 Hunter Team Challenge, plus a new class, the $10,000 Winner’s Circle Hunt & Go Hunter Stake
  • $50,000 Pro Equitation Challenge in the Grand Prix Arena (Week 8)
  • Two dogs’ classes: the Dog Puissance to benefit USHJA (Week 2) and Ariat Tails over Rails (Week 8)
  • NAYC Trials return for Week 8
  • The R.W. Mutch Equitation Championship returns for Week 9
  • The $100,000 West Coast Hunter Spectacular will take place Week 10 with the second round under the lights in the Grand Prix Arena
  • The return of the $15,000 Speed League Final, featuring top-placed riders from each week’s Welcome Speed (Week 10)
