“WIHS Goes Western” at MARS Barn Night
The Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), in partnership with MARS, has an exciting lineup of activities for its “WIHS Goes Western”-themed MARS Barn Night taking place Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Howdy, Horse Lovers!
The Washington International Horse Show in partnership with MARS, invites barns and other horse-loving clubs and groups for some rootin’-tootin’ fun at WIHS Goes Western Barn Night on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Round up your friends, get creative, have some fun and enter the Barn Night group contests for a chance to win great prizes!
All groups must complete a 2023 Barn Night Registration Form for the opportunity to enter contests, win prizes, be recognized at WIHS, and more!

Contests each have champion and reserve champion winners.
- Largest Group Contest – Top Prize: Dover Saddlery shopping spree
- Best Group Costume Contest – Top Prize: Top Jock grooming box
- Group Traveling Farthest To Barn Night – Top Prize: Surprise!
- Best ‘Wanted Poster’ Contest (human or not) – Top Prize: Top Jock Oak-framed Wipeboard
- Best of the West Video – Top Prize: Top Turnout Clinic with Ruthann Smith
- Best Decorated Reusable Water Bottle – Top Prize: Surprise Prize from Green is the New Blue
How to Enter
- Register your barn or group (only one registration per group): 2023 Barn Night Registration Form
- Read the contest details and rules: Barn Night Packet
- Select contests to enter (enter as many as many as you wish!)
- Have fun! Create your contest entries
- Submit your entries by the deadline, Thursday, October 19. All details are available in the Barn Night Packet.
