ANNOUNCING BRIDGEHAMPTON POLO 2014 – NACHO FIGUERAS RETURNS TO 18TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON
BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY, July 3, 2014 – Bridgehampton Polo Club (849 Hayground Road) is pleased to announce Opening Day on July 19, 2014, hosted by Town & Country Magazine, with sponsors including Lancôme Paris, Jet Edge, Escada, Joie, Casablanca Polo and Sunbrella. Polo icon Nacho Figueras will be back in the saddle playing the first match for Bash Kazi’s KIG team against Peter Brant’s White Birch team.
“Opening day will kick off our 18th season of high-goal polo played by the world’s top-ranked players,” said Brant, founder of Bridgehampton Polo Club. “Nacho Figueras will be back again playing this season and he has always been a wonderful ambassador for the sport of polo and Bridgehampton Polo Club in particular.”
“I’m thrilled to be playing at Bridgehampton again this summer,” said Figueras. “There’s nothing like playing polo in the Hamptons – where the top players, charities and top brands come together under the tent. I’m looking forward to a competitive season ahead.”
The Bridgehampton Polo season will take place on six consecutive Saturdays, spanning from July 19through August 23,2014, at the breathtaking Two Trees Farm. While the fast-paced sport is the primary focus at Bridgehampton Polo Club, the quintessential VIP experience will now be available all season long. On Opening Day, Town & CountryPublisher Jennifer Levene Bruno, will host the beautifully outfitted T&C VIP tent, under which guests will enjoy an unprecedented polo experience while mixing and mingling with some of the world’s top luxury brands. Invited guests will also enjoy a delectable reception, featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, French desserts and exclusive wines from the Spire Collection.
In addition to the VIP tent that will be hosting companies and charitable organizations all six Saturdays, a limited number of private, field-side 10 x 10 tailgate tents will also be available for purchase throughout the Season. The tailgates offer an unparalleled view of the field and create an elegant afternoon for hosting guests or corporate outings.
