Big news for those heading to the Atlanta Summer Classics! Classic Company announces that they will offer the $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby the opening week of the two week series on Friday, June 14.

That addition combined with the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program which starts June 10, the weekly $15,000 Open Jumper Welcome Classes and the $35,000 weekly grand prix are bound to make this a show to remember! And, don’t forget-new this year will be the Freestyle Equitation Class that takes place during the Outback Charity Dinner Week II. The class is open to riders of all ages and the riders set their course to music!

Between Weeks I and II, USHJA Zone 4 has sponsored two free riders’ clinics on Monday and a Water Jumping clinic on Tuesday. For more information on the clinics, please contact Janet McCarroll at 228-669-2687.

Week II features the USHJA Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumper Regional Championships and the TAKE2 Thoroughbred Hunter and Jumper Division. The Emerson Burr Program for pony riders, the $10,000 Pony Hunter Derby Classic, the $5,000 Future Class, the Atlanta Cup Equitation Classic and the Grand Puba Junior Hunter Championships are also featured. The $35,000 Grand Prix and the Freestyle Equitation Classic during the Outback Steakhouse Charity Dinner put the finishing touches on a perfectly packed week of events!

Everyone is very excited about the USHJA Children’s Adult Amateur Jumper Regional Championships. The new program offers riders the opportunity to compete in a Nations Cup format, representing their states and zones.

There are four Regions:

•North Region-representing all of the states within Zones 1, 2 and 5

•South Region-representing all of the states within Zones 3 and 4

•Central Region-representing all of the states within Zones 5 and 6

•West Region-representing all of the states within Zones 8,9,10, 11 and 12

Riders must apply in order to have a chance to represent their state. For more information, go to ushja.org. Riders in the south only have until May 5 to apply for the 2013 year. So, time is of the essence if you want to get in on this exciting new program!

VIP Elegance “Classic Style”

In response to the rave reviews, Classic Company intends to continue to offer the red carpet treatment and VIP food service in its VIP tent located adjacent to the Grand Prix arena.
