Official Ambassadors Announced for The London International Horse Show 2022

Organisers of The London International Horse Show have today unveiled three official Show ambassadors for the 2022 edition. The 5* Show, which will be hosted at ExCeL London for the second year, will run over five days from 15 – 19 December. Show Jumper Harry Charles and Dressage rider Lottie Fry, both bound for the upcoming FEI World Championships, will join last year’s London International Horse Show Under-25 British Show Jumping Champion Jodie Hall-McAteer as the official ambassadors of the 2022 Show.

Through activities such as Instagram takeovers, media days and onsite Live Zone appearances, the ambassadors will extend the narrative of the Show beyond the event itself, providing an insight into how a rider prepares for a prestigious show such as The London International, enabling fans to experience exclusive behind the scenes content and facilitating unique insights into the life of a top international competitor.

Great Britain’s Harry Charles dominated at the Show last year, with victories in both the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Qualifier and the London Grand Prix. The Under-25 World No.1 was named the leading rider of the Show, eleven years after his first win at the Show in 2010 in the Olympia 128cm championship with his pony Matthews Girl.

Charles sustained his form from the London International Horse Show into 2022 and has now climbed into the top-15 Show Jumpers in the world. The 23-year-old was selected for the FEI World Championships with four horses but has chosen to take his 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games ride Romeo 88 in his quest for his first senior championship medal. Over the past month alone, he has won the CSI5* Ghelamco Jump-off Challenge at Knokke Hippique and was placed second in The Longines King George V Gold Cup at Hickstead last weekend.

Speaking of his role as a London International Horse Show ambassador, Charles said: “I am delighted to be an official ambassador for the London International Horse Show this year. I love the Show, it’s one I have been going to for years, first as a spectator with my Dad and more recently competing myself. Winning there last year was the highlight of my career so far, it was the best feeling, the atmosphere and crowd are always amazing and it’s an extremely special show. I can’t wait to return this year.”
