Road to the Maclay Begins at Blenheim EquiSports for West Coast Riders

Southwest equitation riders will be looking to punch their ticket to the 2022 ASPCA Maclay National Championship on Saturday, September 17, during the Blenheim Fall Tournament, and, Blenheim EquiSports is hoping to give its exhibitors an edge by bringing a bit of the Maclay National Championship, held in Lexington, KY, straight to San Juan Capistrano, CA.

For the ASPCA Maclay Region 8 Championship, the Grand Looke Arena at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park will be transformed by utilizing ring dimensions that directly mimic the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park, home to the Maclay National Championship in November.

In addition, the event dressing and jumps will be similar to what they will find out East for the fall equitation finals.

Not only will the ASPCA Maclay riders be exposed to the learning opportunity, 3’3” equitation competitors and adult equitation riders will also have the chance to compete over the Maclay-inspired courses set in the Grand Looke Arena throughout the week of the Blenheim Fall Tournament, September 14-18.

Blenheim would like to thank Georgy Maskrey-Segesman of Whitethorne, LLC and Jim Hagman of Elvenstar for their collaborative efforts to make this year’s event unique and special.
