In the midst of the busy city of Jacksonville, Florida, a quick stop off of major interstates I-10 or I-295 leads to a beautiful 80-acre paradise for equestrians. The Jacksonville Equestrian Center— complete with a 150’ x 300’ indoor arena, outdoor show rings, a turf derby field, and over 400 permanent stalls— is quickly becoming one of the Southeast’s most popular venues to host equestrian events and other recreational activities.Jacksonville Equestrian Center #eliteequestrian

The Jacksonville Equestrian Center includes a 123,000 square foot multi-purpose building that encloses an enormous indoor coliseum with over 3,500 permanent seats. Near the multiple outdoor riding arenas and 200’ x 400’ derby field, there are four permanent barns and 16 covered wash stalls. There are 78 RV hookups on site, and plenty of space for vendors— assuring comfort and convenience to all who attend the facility. The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is part of an 800-acre recreational park, filled with miles of trails for hiking, biking, and trail riding, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, an 18-hole golf course, ball fields, and more.

With all that the Jacksonville Equestrian Center offers, it’s easy to see why the facility is booked for all types of events year-round. In just the past few months, the Jacksonville Equestrian Center has been home to the Ride Lite Dressage show, the Southeast Medal Finals hunter, jumper, and equitation competition, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association 4-H Horse show, Pals and Paws Agility Trials for canines and their human partners, the First Coast Classical Dressage Challenge Schooling show, a Backwoods Country Jam Concert featuring Lee Brice, the K-9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville, a Creeping Indigo and Other Noxious Weeds Seminar, the Fiddler’s Turkey Run Barrel Racing Competition, and the Winter Dressage on the First Coast Competition.

As the New Year approaches, more excitement is to come at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. On January 8-10, join barrel racing fans at the No Bull Barrel Race. January 14-16 will bring the amazing Feathered Horse Classic Gypsy National Championship Show. It’s free to the public to watch the Gypsy Vanner and Drum horses compete in this popular event. On January 19, don’t miss out on the chance to school your horse in state-of-the-art facilities during the Jacksonville Equestrian Center’s Community Schooling Night.
