Draper Therapies® ‘Best Foot Forward’ Awards Warm Welcomes to Winter Equestrian Festival Riders
Wellington, Florida (February 12, 2013) –“It’s cold back home,” confessed Draper Therapies® ‘Best Foot Forward’ Award winners Laurie Lewis and Tina Allen. Lewis, from Oklahoma City, OK, and Allen, from New Canaan, CT, have both made Wellington a regular stop on their show calendars for several years, but riding away from Weeks 3 and 4 of the Winter Equestrian Festival with new Draper saddle pads made for especially warm welcomes.
Lewis, who rides with Peter Pletcher of Houston, TX, came to WEF to compete in the Middle Adults with her Andiamo-bred 11-year-old Dutch gelding, Westbrook. “I love him, he’s got lots of personality. I’ve been riding him for almost a year and he’s getting more relaxed.”
Allen, who brought nine year-old Holsteiner, French Kiss, and seven year-old Galaxy, to ride in Adult Amateurs at WEF, also appreciated exchanging a “miserable” winter up north for warmer and more rewarding conditions in Florida. “My horses have been great,” said the Draper Therapies Best Foot Forward award winner. “This was Galaxy’s first time in the Adults. He’s gone from Baby Greens to 3’6”,” she beamed.
