Wellington, FL (February 15, 2013) – Two exceptional riders who demonstrated their positive attitudes as they showed in the hunter ring were rewarded with the Best Foot Forward Award, presented by Draper Therapies® during the fourth week of the . Blythe Masters, from New York, NY, showed All The Lucks, a 7-year-old mare recently imported from Ireland and owned by Lisa McGuigan. “She just came to America, so she was a little fresh and a little green,” Masters said about the horse she showed for only the second time, “but it’s just about having fun!” Masters currently trains with Ronan McGuigan, and is excited to try out the new Draper Therapies saddle pad she received as a part of the award.

The other Best Foot Forward award went to 12-year-old Madison Goetzmann from Skaneateles, NY as she rode her 13-year-old Balisto to take Reserve Champion Overall in the Large Jr Hunters Class. “He was very good and I felt I rode well, so it made a good match!” Goetzmann said, demonstrating her winning attitude. Goetzmann is currently training with Andre Dignelli of Heritage Farms and is quickly moving up through the ranks of the Junior Hunters circuit. “It’s really fun! Just don’t be nervous and concentrate and do the best you can,” she advises about riding in the prestigious Florida shows. Drapers Therapies is excited to support this attitude by presenting the Best Foot Forward Award throughout the rest of the 2013 Winter Equestrian Festival.

The Best Foot Forward award is presented two times per week throughout the season and recognizes equestrians in a very unique way for simply bringing a positive spirit and attitude to the shows. “This award is something we felt responsible and honored to give out to people who possess a positive attitude,” says Becky Shipps, Product Manager of Draper Therapies. “We’re here to motivate people to smile more and what better way to do that than with free products?” Shipps explains that this award is given to any horse/rider combination that is willing to go over and above to reach out and make others smile. “It can be grooms, trainers, owners, or riders, but they have to be on a horse or have a horse in hand,” she continues. “We’re looking to find someone whose smile touches their eyes. It’s basically good vibes you feel radiating off a person, not just one little smile and you’re done, and definitely not just the smile you hope people are wearing throughout their tests. We are looking for someone who is generally enjoying their sport, both the ups and downs, and really showing off their positive attitude.”
