Fly Armor™ Introduced to Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers Club

Lexington, KY (September 7, 2012) – The war against insects is on – but thanks to the revolutionary new fly repellent system Fly Armor™, the war won’t last long! Charlie O’Hara, of Fly Amor, was a guest at the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers Club (KTFMC) meeting in Lexington, and shared samples of Fly Armor products with the club members as they prepared for the fall sales.

“I was really pleased to be able to meet the members of the Kentucky Farm Managers Club and share information and samples of Fly Armor. It was very exciting to see how receptive everyone was,” O’Hara said. “We all want our animals to be free of insects and when a revolutionary new system comes along that actually works – everyone is enthusiastic about it and rightly so.”

Fly Armor insect repellent gear offers an “invisible shield of tranquility” that protects horses, dogs and people against flies, mosquitoes, gnats, ticks and no-see-ums. Fly Armor uses all-natural ingredients that are 100% free from toxic chemicals. Fly Armor is not sprayed on the horse or in the stable area. Instead, Fly Armor uses inserts that are infused with a proprietary blend of essential oils and then inserted into Fly Armor gear designed to attach to halters, bridles, rider’s helmets, manes and tails.

“During the Kentucky Farm Managers meeting, we talked about the advantage of Fly Armor for broodmares and pasture horses,” O’Hara said. “When horses in a pasture are bothered by flies and other insects, they will spend a lot of time stomping their legs and can even suffer weight loss because of the worrisome effect of the insects. Thanks to Fly Armor, that’s doesn’t have to be a problem any more.”

O’Hara was a special guest at the meeting in which the KTFMC keynote speaker was Corey Johnson, the President of Kentucky Downs and Vice President and Partner in Richland Hills. Following Johnson’s talk, O’Hara provided Fly Armor samples to the KTFMC members. “Everyone was eager to take their samples back to their farms and try them out. Many Thoroughbreds in Kentucky are going to be insect free thanks to Fly Armor!”, O’Hara said.

The unique component of the Fly Armor brand is the scented, eco-friendly inserts that are infused with a proprietary blend of essential oils that insects cannot tolerate. The Fly Armor replaceable inserts can easily be attached wherever needed, from halters, bridles, rider’s helmets and dog collars to manes, tails and more. They can also be used in stall doors and horse trailers. Riders can also enjoy a pest free ride with Fly Armor Helmet Bands that attach to their headgear.

Fly Armor offers ten different insert band styles and each is sold as a kit that includes two or four inserts. The Fly Armor insect repellent inserts are designed to last approximately four weeks, depending on the weather conditions. The inserts retail for $6.99 for a pair. The Fly Armor gear that holds the inserts are reusable and range in price from $14.00 to $29.00, about the cost of a single bottle of fly spray!

“In hot temperatures, 90 to100 degrees, when bugs are most prevalent, Fly Armor protects an area of approximately six to seven feet in diameter. That’s what we call the invisible shield of tranquility. Fly Armor is safe, effective, comfortable and affordable and we are proud to bring the innovative approach to fly control to the market place,” O’Hara said.
