Todd Minikus of Wellington, FL rode Quality Girl, owned Chris Brems of Belgium, against tough competition in the CSI2*. Minikus explained, “Being second in the order and with Rodrigo and Brianne behind you, you can approach it two ways: you can try to shut the door right from the beginning, or go clear conservatively and hope they make mistakes. Quality Girl won the speed yesterday, so I decided to go for it.” For his wins at Live Oak, Minikus was also presented with the $10,000 Leading Rider bonus, presented by G&C Farm.

Minikus has also had a winning season at the 2012 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and is an experienced Grand Prix competitor. With 109 Grand Prix wins to his name, Minikus and Quality Girl placed 8th in the $300,000 FEI World Cup Grand Prix during the 9th week of WEF while competing against 45 other top international Grand Prix riders. Minikus was also featured in a recent video shoot for Vita Flex as he is a member of the Vita Flex Victory Team. Vita Flex’s line of performance and nutritional supplelements are designed to give horses and riders the winning edge, and Todd’s success at Live Oak proves that Quality Girl has the ‘it’ factor.
